Okay, this will be a long story.

(I know the background was lazy but, this drawing is significant.) Why? Because my ma is an awesome woman. For Christmas she pitched in and helped me pay for a new art tablet. I've saved up money for months and my old one was dying so much I couldn't hardly get any comic pages or pictures done without having to use the teensy touch pad on my laptop which was endlessly frustrating and unfortunately made my artwork fluctuate way too much.

So, now I have a new art tablet, one which has WORKING pressure sensitivity. Now, I'm in a bit of a learning curve with this one so you'll have to forgive me if my art is wonky for a while whilst I figure it all out and get used to the new tablets setup and pen. (Seriously this one is thin compared to the beast I had before) All in all, the biggest thing I want to say here is thanks to my ma.

She's always been an amazing person but it was more than generous and kind that she help me in this endeavor. And, if it weren't for her I wouldn't have been able to afford this despite that I'd set money aside for it forever ago (and used a gift card I'd gotten as a birthday present some months back). So, I owe her way more than thanks and I hope one day I can repay her in kind because this is very significant for me and certainly appreciated.

Christmas was wonderful 'cause I got to hang with all the people I enjoy and received a vast gift in good conversation and time family and friends. I certainly won't take these moments for granted since they are so few and far between. I hope everyone had a good holiday season and got to receive the amicability of their families as I have.
